SensiJet® SX

Offering superior performance on semi-porous and non-porous substrates, Sun Chemical’s digital pigment ink, SensiJet® SX, offers a revolutionary digital printing solution with minimal environmental impact.

SensiJet® SX can be applied on non-porous materials that typically cannot be printed with water-based inks, such as vinyl and polyethylene, as well as porous substrates such as non-woven textiles and paper.

SensiJet SX has been specially developed for the decorative industry, providing a water-based inkjet ink that adheres to plastics while avoiding the use of solvent and UV curable inks, as well as removing the need for primer.

By offering adhesion onto non-porous substrates without any volatile components, SensiJet® SX offers an innovative digital printing solution for packaging applications, including cans and corrugated packaging, performing with no substrate priming without compromising on performance.

Offering precision and uniformity, SensiJet® SX’s high-quality color can be used for a variety of regulated and non-regulated applications, including signage, accessories and packaging.

Shelf life

Inks should be stored in a controlled environment at a temperature between 15-25°C. If stored under these recommended conditions, the inks have a shelf life of 12 (twelve) months. If the ink exceeds the shelf life detailed on the bottle, please contact Sensient directly for advice on continued use.

How to use


SensiJet® SX inks are tested on different industrial printers, but users should check their suitability for individual machines and models.

For optimal printing, the relative humidity rate must be kept at 55% or higher and the ambient temperature should be around 20°C (70°F).


If heat is applied during the printing process (45°C to 60°C recommended), the ink will dry and set immediately. The fixation requirements for each application and print speed should be validated.
